Tap on Video if you want to use one from your gallery which had been taken with the phone’s app or a third party app. Once you open the Featured section, you’re presented with another menu. To select the live photo option, tap on Featured at the bottom of the screen. On the home page of the app, you’ll find a series of choices: you can choose one of the preset live photos, you can make live photos using the camera in the app, or you can convert a video into a live photo.
